Set up your rotation schedule
Ideally, you want 3-6 students per group, with your lowest groups having a lower number of students. You should aim for 4-5 total groups, no more than 6, so that you are able to meet with everyone several times per week. Once you've done that, decide how many groups you can see each day.
Small Group Strategies and Individual Instruction
  • Flexible Grouping.
  • Nominal Brainstorming.
  • Think-Pair-Share.
  • Cooperative Learning Groups.
  • Flash Cards.
  • Interview.
  • Group Discussion.
  • Learning Centers.
